
Brand Handbook
This is how you make a corporate brand attractive!
A book about brands: ”The Brand Handbook” (”Brändikirja” in Finnish). It was published in Finland by The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce.
It is aimed at CEOs and entrepreneurs who don’t have time, skills or resources to invest in their company brand and communication.
In the book I present a simple way to refine and control a company brand by a tool of my own design – The Brand Brightening. It is a three-step method: First we define what the core of the brand is, second we do the 360 degree brand design and lastly, we cover how the brand is implemented.
In addition to the tool, there is an overall view of a brand and a selection of international brand cases.
How the book was born
In early 2019 I had been an entrepreneur for about six years.
During that time, I had been able to work with several dozen companies in Finland (I help them to find their own way to communicate). I had experienced how SME companies operate in terms of marketing and brand building.
Often company’s management time goes hands in clay for either sales or product development. It’s hard to find time for marketing. On the other hand companies don’t want to invest so much that a person would be hired for the company to manage marketing. In principle they are aware that marketing is important, but they lack the konowledge what to do and where to start.
The Brand Brightening -tool is made for companies like that to help to refine and control a company brand.
As I saw how well the tool worked in practice, I decided to write a book about it.
Most business books I’ve read have been very academic. As I assume that CEOs and entrepreneurs have a lack of time, I designed my handbook to be concise and easy to read.
And now I’m seeking an international agent and a publisher for english markets in Europe, and in USA.
